In support of the ongoing series of Information Caravan on Plant Nursery Accreditation and Plant Material Certification for Plant Nursery Operators of the Bureau of Plant Industry-National Seed Quality Control Services (BPI-NSQCS), the BPI-Crop Pest Management Division (BPI-CPMD) continued to impart its expertise during the caravan’s 13th plenary session on June 25, 2024, at the Department of Agriculture-Cagayan Valley Research Center (DA-CVRC), Ilagan City, Isabela.

 


The one-day event was headed by BPI-NSQCS Agriculturist II, Mr. Earl Austin Aromin, with 30 participants consisting of plant nursery proprietors and operators from the region. As part of the said session, BPI-CPMD Science Research Specialist I, Ms. Apel Jae Clemente, discussed the pests and diseases of cacao and their respective management strategies. Other topics were also shared by experts from the different BPI divisions and Region 2 focal persons.
